Moving checklist: 8 weeks before to 2 weeks after

Timeline for notice, contracts, boxes, parking zone, handover, registration and follow-up tasks.

   8 weeks before: check contract and notice period for the old home

2. 02

   8 weeks before: secure start budget with deposit, first rent, moving and furniture

3. 03

   6 weeks before: set moving date, helpers, van or provider quote

4. 04

   6 weeks before: roughly list belongings and plan boxes

5. 05

   4 weeks before: clarify power, gas, internet and insurance for the new address

   4 weeks before: check parking zone, elevator, staircase and access

   3 weeks before: sort disposal, selling, donations and storage

8. 08

   2 weeks before: pack boxes and prepare tools, cleaning and protection material

9. 09

   1 week before: prepare handover protocol, photos, meter readings and key count

10. 10

    Moving day: photograph meter readings and document defects immediately

11. 11

    1 week after: check registration, name plate, mail forwarding and new contracts

12. 12

    2 weeks after: sort receipts, invoices, deposit and open defects
